Military Licensing Rules
Special provisions may apply to military service members, spouses of military service members, and military veterans seeking to apply for registration as a dealer, investment adviser, agent, or investment adviser representative. These provisions are detailed in Board Rules 115.18 and 116.18 and in Chapter 55 of the Occupations Code.
Military License Complaints
The Agency is required by Texas Occupations Code Section 55.0043 to maintain a record of each complaint made against a military service member, military veteran, or military spouse to whom the agency issues a license or who holds an out-of-state license the agency recognizes (collectively, military applicants), and is further required to publish at least quarterly on its website the complaint information. As of the end of Q1 FY2026, there are no complaints against military applicants that have made any filings with the Agency under or received any special considerations from the Agency under the Board’s Military Licensing Rules as set forth in Board Rules 115.18 and 116.18.
