What We Do
The State Securities Board is responsible for regulating the securities industry in Texas. We register securities offered or sold in Texas and oversee the firms and individuals selling securities or providing investment advice to Texans. Through our Investor Education initiative, we help our fellow Texans become informed investors.
Important Information for Investors with Retirement Value, LLC
The State of Texas has accused Retirement Value, LLC, of engaging in securities fraud. At the Request of the State of Texas, a District Court in Travis County placed the company into receivership. The court-appointed receiver filed his Initial Report with the court on July 28. The report provides up-to-date information on the Retirement Value scheme, the financial condition of the company, and the status of the underlying insurance policies.
